I'm Great

Yup, you read that correctly.  A few minutes ago, I became a great aunt!  My beautiful niece Victoria  gave birth to her son Kenneth who she named after her father.   I wish my brother were alive to hold his grandchild for the first time.  I know he looking down from heaven guiding Tori the entire way.

Congratulations Tori and Welcome to the world baby Kenny!  Always know that your grandpa loves you very much and will always be looking down from heaven, sending you love.

Whether I Like It Or Not...

Monday is going to happen.  Every Sunday night I stay up way to late (like right now) and get all depressed thinking about the upcoming work week.  Of course all this ends up doing is making me extremely cranky and over tired tomorrow which is pretty much a lose-lose situation for EVERYBODY.

Yup.  I wonder how many times I 'll get to hear, "I'm on vacation and forgot my___________."  Feel free to fill in whatever medication you would like.  Ironically though, it's usually something rather trivial like, I don't know, INSULIN!!!  I tend to leave my house all the time without a pulse, but it's not like I need one to live or anything.  Damn.  People are so freaking unbelievable.  I don't know how ninety percent of the people I deal with everyday even make it out their front door.

Anyway, besides work, this is going to be a real stressful week and I'm hoping for some kind of miracle.

A Solemn Day

A day our country will never forget. As I was watching the replay of the morning of September 11th on MSNBC , a range of emotions flooded me and my mind did not know which to process first. I looked at big boy eating his breakfast as happy as can be and thanked God for giving him to me and then felt guilt for all the children who lost a parent on that morning of hell.

Every year, I watch and it is as if I am seeing the footage for the first time. Honestly, on the anniversary of this day, I don't think anything else should be on the television except memorial services. Unfortunately, we do live in an ADD nation and I am afraid one day people will forget.

Happy Birthday Kenny

Even though you left us just over a year and a half ago, not a day goes by that we don't think about you. You were the greatest big brother I could have ever asked for and I miss you terribly with each passing day.

I find solace in knowing you are with God and the angels in heaven and no longer feel pain. I pray someone, anyone finds a cure to the horrible disease which forced you from this earth. I have always said cancer is the only thing on this planet that does not discriminate.

Please stop by the American Cancer Society to see what you can do to help put an end to such a horrible disease.

We all miss you Kenny

Help!

Big boy woke up at 1:30am and did not fall back asleep until about twenty minutes ago. There was nothing wrong with him! He just didn't want to sleep. I got maybe, two hours sleep last night and I have to go to work in two hours. I can't even lay down for a few minutes because I get up for work now anyway. What the hell am I going to do today. I have not been this tired since he was a newborn. My eyes are actually crossing. I am never going to make it through work today. Ugh! Hubby is putting in some OT tonight and now I have to pick big boy up after work. Sleep...I need it.
I know I'm being a brat about this but I just got over a bout with insomnia and I am seriously in need of sleep.
