Whether I Like It Or Not...

Monday is going to happen.  Every Sunday night I stay up way to late (like right now) and get all depressed thinking about the upcoming work week.  Of course all this ends up doing is making me extremely cranky and over tired tomorrow which is pretty much a lose-lose situation for EVERYBODY.

Yup.  I wonder how many times I 'll get to hear, "I'm on vacation and forgot my___________."  Feel free to fill in whatever medication you would like.  Ironically though, it's usually something rather trivial like, I don't know, INSULIN!!!  I tend to leave my house all the time without a pulse, but it's not like I need one to live or anything.  Damn.  People are so freaking unbelievable.  I don't know how ninety percent of the people I deal with everyday even make it out their front door.

Anyway, besides work, this is going to be a real stressful week and I'm hoping for some kind of miracle.

Blue

This is going to be short because my eyes are closing as I type this.  I think it's pretty sad that I already have the Sunday night blues and it's still Saturday.  It's such a sad vicious cycle.  You work all week holding out for Friday afternoon and before I can even unwind it's time to go back.  I need to figure something out in life and fast because I'm starting to get depressed and I don't like how this is making me feel.

I Caved

And finally started to read Twilight. Almost everyone I know has read these books and raves about how excellent they are. I have been looking for something new to read so I figured why not. I'm about fifty pages into the first book and am already hooked. Seriously, I'm going to have to stop off at either Barnes & Noble or Target tomorrow after work to pick up the other three. I hope the other three are out in paperback because there is no way I'm paying hard cover price for them though. I would attempt to put my name on the waiting list at the library but something tells me the list is probably over a hundred names deep.

What is it about these books that are so captivating? Thankfully, I didn't see the movie when it came out so at least my perception of the book isn't skewed. There has only been one movie that has ever lived up to the greatness of it's book counterpart and that would be Bram Stoker's Dracula, but I'll save that for another day.

I really like that there is more than one book which is why I quickly fell in love with both the Left Behind and Harry Potter series. There is nothing better than finishing a great book knowing there is another one waiting to be read. I do tend to get a bit depressed when reading the final book though. For now, I still have New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn to look forward to.

If I Only Had A Uterus...

I would stalk Eddie Murphy and get knocked up. I was listening to the radio driving to work the other morning and they were doing the celebrity segment of the show and announced he and Mel B, AKA Scary Spice had come to a child support and custody agreement. He pays her $50,000. a month for child support. $50,000. A MONTH! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I'm sure, or at least I would like to think that the money is all going into a trust fund but damn! It's not like they had three or four kids together, and even then I wouldl think the amount is excessive. This is for one child. One.

If I'm not mistaken, she has done rather well for herself anyway. Didn't those Spice Girls make some serious money back in the nineties and during their recent reunion tour? Personally, I would rather put bamboo shoots under my nail beds before ever seeing them in concert or listening to even ten seconds of their music but that's because I have good taste in music:) Is it the whole "hell hath no fury like a scary spice scorned?" Is it because he's a movie star the judge ordered him to pay so much. I just don't get it.

So if I had a uterus, I would get myself pregnant by Eddie Murphy. I would have the second baby I always wanted and an extra $50,000. a month lying around. I don't know, it just seems a little extreme to me.

Not Much To Say...

I have been on the phone all morning setting up appointments for this or that. It would be so nice though if just one person could call me back with a date when they say they are going to. I have to go to work later. Wednesday & Thursday's are the worst. It really bothers me to not be home at night. I know I'll be home a little after nine and I could use the break from Big Boy but, I would just rather be here.

I guess I should get back to making phone calls. When did society become so rude. I have been trying to schedule a test for over three weeks now and I just keep getting jerked around. Such is life.

Seeing Red!

Back in July, hubby and I had to go to a funeral in North Jersey. We spent the night in a Comfort Inn. We,, it was about $92.00 a night. I know this is my fault, but I just assumed it had been taken out of my bank account. When I checked the account today though, it was showing the charge. My question is: How can a hotel wait almost two and a half months to charge your debit card for a room?

Of course the man I spoke with on the phone was a complete jerk and doesn't feel anything was done wrong. Honestly, I thought the money had been drafted and certainly was not anticipating that money coming out of my account. That should be my cell phone bill this month! I am so raging angry right now I could scream!

Anyway, even though the hotel is a private franchise, I was able to track down a general customer service number for the corporate office and plan on dealing with this in the morning. I have no problem paying for the night we spent there, I just thought I paid for it back in July!!! I think it is poor business and for once I am going to stand up for myself.

Am I wrong?
